The Menabo Merak Rapid (type Q) is an entry-level bike carrier from Menabo. It is very light, affordable and suitable for 2 bicycles. Please note that the steel frame has a maximum load capacity of 45 kg, so it may not always be suitable for 2 heavier e-bikes. The aluminum wheel trays can take up to 65 mm wide tyres, which makes the Merak also suitable for mountain bikes. The tilting function allows easy access to the boot space. The Merak Rapid type Q has a quick lock system with anti-theft lock for easy and secure installation on the tow bar of your car. Please note that the Merak types K and S don't have this feature.
The Merak bike carrier is supplied as standard with frame clamps without anti-theft lock, but rotary knobs with a key lock can be ordered as an accessory. And with the optional Merak extension kit the bike carrier can be extended to carry 3 bikes in total. For easier loading of the bikes it is possible to order the Menabo drive-up ramp.
