This Kleinmetall TraficGard dog guard, also called a cargo separator, is suitable for your Mazda6 (GJ-GL). With this dog guard you can safely transport your pet, but it also protects the driver and passengers from the dangers of loose cargo in the boot space. The TraficGard dog guard offers maximum safety for the occupants and your pet; the design has been crash-tested by TÜV Nord and complies with the latest European safety standard UN-R126. In several EU countries, like Germany and Spain, it is mandatory to transport your dog in a special dog harness, in a dog crate or behind a dog guard. Installation of the TraficGard dog guard is very easy: it is securely attached to the rods of the adjustable headrests of the rear seats with forged brackets. If your car has a boot roll cover, it remains closeable in combination with the dog guard.
A Kleinmetall TraficGard dog guard can often be combined with a matching Kleinmetall Masterline cargo divider. If this is the case, the cargo divider is shown under ‘Frequently bought together’. If you select your car model in the product filter, all suitable dog guards for your car will be shown automatically.

The dog gate is a bit too small for…
The dog guard is a bit too small for the Mercedes-Benz GLC (X254) 2022-, because our Lagotto puppy (current height 43cm) can climb into the rear area between the left edge of the dog guard and the C-pillar (approx. 18cm gap). Due to the dimensions of the connectors and the headrest spacing in this vehicle, the supplied knurled screw on the right headrest cannot be fully tightened. However, this does not affect the stability. If you want to create a complete frictional connection, you have to replace this knurled screw with a machine screw (smaller head), for example. However, this would be at the expense of quick dismantling (e.g. if you want to fold down the back seat). In itself, however, the guard is completely sufficient for accident protection and serves its purpose.
