UN-R126 safety standard for dog guards and partitioning system?
What does the UN-R126 standard mean?
This standard was drawn up by the UN and the European Union and applies to partitioning systems that are intended to protect occupants from forward-moving luggage in the event of a frontal collision. The standard applies to partitioning systems for motor vehicles in category M1. These are vehicles for the transport of persons, with a maximum of 8 seats (in addition to the driver's), such as passenger cars, minibuses and campers. In order to comply with UN-R126, the partition system must be crash-tested.
How do I recognise a dog guard that complies with UN-R126?
A UN-R126 certified dog guard can be recognised by a sticker with an E-number and approval number.
Choose safety, choose UN-R126
A dog guard that has been crash-tested according to UN-R126 offers maximum protection for both your pet in the luggage compartment and the occupants in the event of a frontal collision. This minimises the risk of injury to both humans and pet and contributes to road safety.
